 Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary Winter Programs

Volunteers open the Visitor Centre every weekend from January until the end of March offering affordable ski and snowshoe rentals, light refreshments and a warm fire. 

If enough snow has accumulated in December, the sanctuary will open for select days over the Christmas break. 

Moonlight ski and snowshoe events will not be booked in advance, but will be announced on the Friends of the Sanctuary website and Facebook page closer to the dates.

Rentals are $6 for adults, $4 for children

Root2Rise Yoga and Movement Classes

Join Sheena Stoqua, Registered Kinesiologist and yoga teacher, for daytime and evening yoga classes in Long Sault, Ingleside, Finch and Avonmore.

Lessons designed to help you take better photos, whether you are a beginner or more advanced. Spend some time in the classroom, but also receive plenty of opportunity to get outside and shoot photos, putting your new skills to work!

Barre Plus

Core elements of Ballet Barre, Pilates and Yoga combined in low impact movements and poses that safely tone, lift and transform the body.

Cardio

A 30-minute, easy to follow, calorie burning workout. Instructor-led modifications for a low impact, easy on the joints experience.

Total Body

This workout combines rounds of 3 minutes strength, 2 minutes cardio, and 1 minute core for a full body workout.
